Are we flirting or just annoying each other?

lately especially, we've been bickering a lot over little stupid things. like today, he decided to take my handout and made it so that i could only get it back when he decided to give it back. and yeah, we'll sometimes bicker over political stuff, but in the end we both give up cause the other won't change their views. it feels like we might be flirting, just because its a lot of the stupid fighting, and him taking my stuff or trying to (he always gives it back... eventually). and a girl in my cl seems to be giving me/him looks as if she expects something to be happening.... i can't tell the difference, but are we flirting in our own way or just annoying each other?
