Question about just cause 2?

I have a question about the island that's in the top left corner of the map and when you fly there your plain crashes and its always dark and more spooky stuff. In the mission where you destroy the towers or something on the island and then your plain stops crashing and its not always dark, does the island get spooky again or do i have to start a new game to have the island spooky again ?
