Red and tender down there what could it be?

So my bf and i had a "session" yesterday. we don't usually use condoms and yesterday was no exception. well a few hours later my down there was very sensitive and tender. So now its very tender, kinda red but there is no discharge or smells or itching or anything else. Is it just from hurting from not having enough lubricant, or something else?
